A A. SHAKIR, The kikoy shop, was founded in 1973 as family-run workshop specializing in exclusive kikoy, khanga, Masai shuka , traditional wear as well as westernised wear. Now greatly expanded, Shakir continues to maintain the highest standards of materials and workmanship. Our retail outlets in Malindi have been operating for over twenty years. All our products are designed and tailored in our workshop to high quality standards. We have been working and designing many style mostly using kikoy fabric which is 100 percent cotton.
Out of this kikoy fabric we have come up with beautiful styles in the fashion world. Which has claim good reputation across the world.
We have a workshop and a showroom in Malindi, Kenya. Our workshop employed good tailors with a working experience in professional designing. The designs include contemporary classic kikoy, malimali, khanga dresses and a range of products with an African flair creating a very individual and unusual look.
All products go into production chainwise, a material selection is done, then cutting as per the design, stitching, finishing, checking, ironing and then packaging. This is how our trust of quality is built to our reputed customers.
